MICA CASE MANAGER / SUBSTANCE ABUSE - Supported SRO in North Bronx
Description: To provide case management and supportive services to adult SPMI residents. Responsibilities include conducting regular MICA groups, and providing information, assessments and referrals in areas related to substance abuse.
Schedule: Office hours are Monday - Friday; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some evening/ weekend hours may be required.
Qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work or human services related field, with one year's direct experience working with the MICA population; or a Bachelor's degree with three (3) years direct experience working with the MICA population; or Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification with three (3) years direct experience working with the MICA population. Bilingual/ Spanish a plus.
Salary: High $30's to Low $40's annually plus benefits
PROGRAM DIRECTOR - Supported Housing Facility for Adults & Families
Description: The Program Director is responsible for the overall operations and support services provided by staff to residents of the facility in accordance with all state, city and federal regulatory agencies. There are two major areas of responsibility: Program responsibilities include clinical and administrative duties such as delivery of client services including intakes, admissions, discharges and referrals, overall supervision of staff, and implementation of timely and accurate submission of documentation, and reporting to all local, state and federal regulatory agencies. Facility management responsibilities include the coordination, monitoring and documentation of all areas of building maintenance and upkeep, direct supervision of building maintenance and contracted security personnel, and ensuring compliance with all NYC/ NYS regulatory agencies in regards to building safety and health standards. The PD is also responsible for leases and collection of rents and contact with legal services including initiation of eviction proceedings.
Schedule: Office hours are Monday - Friday; 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications: Applicant must have obtained a Master's degree in Social Work or higher, and must have at least 5 years experience working with SPMI population, with at least two of those years in a supervisory / management capacity.
Salary: Low $50's based on qualifications and experience
PORTER - South Bronx Supported SRO
Description: Under direct supervision of the Building Super, the Porter is responsible for building maintenance and upkeep, including daily cleaning, sweeping, trash removal and apartment turnovers. Candidate must be able to access areas above basement level.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Qualifications: One (1) year's exp as a Building Porter required. HS diploma and Bilingual/Spanish preferred.
Salary: $10.80/ hour plus benefits
VISITING COUNSELOR - Scatter-site Apartment Treatment Program in NE Bronx
Description : Provide supported case management and supportive services to adult SPMI residents of scatter-site program. Candidates must be able to assist residents with activities of daily living and general apartment maintenance.
Schedule: Office hours are Monday - Friday; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; however, candidates must be able to work up to 6:30 pm at least 3 days/week to conduct apartment visits.
Qualifications: BA Degree in Social Work or related human services field is required. Experience working with adult mentally ill population is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills a must; Bilingual/ Spanish a plus.
Salary: $33,500 annually plus benefits.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / LIMITATIONS FOR ALL POSITIONS
Candidates for all positions must be able to access areas above first floor in program/office facilities and must be able to travel within the community via public transportation. Candidates for all direct care positions must be able to demonstrate proper cleaning and apartment maintenance methods to residents in addressing their activities of daily living.
